This is a common occurance. People set up temporary, illegal stalls in tube stations.
Someone informs on them and the police come in battalions, take names and confiscate the goods.

How's it going girls? Those bloody illegal stall holders, what a bloody nuicance. I bet the police enjoy the booty. I remember thinking when I was in the 'tube' over there what interesting and exciting places they were. Although, I never witnessed a police scoop/swoop. Far more enjoyable than the London underground and miles more fun than the Metro.
